South Esk - Fort Esk Beat

It is only 30 minutes drive from North Esk to the South Esk , so it is a great idea to have a combo trip and fish both rivers during the same week giving the oppertunitie to fish two diffrent rivers. Also from DEE to the Esk it is less than an hour drive, so it is in fact possible also for a party of anglers to rotate from Dee to North Esk and South Esk in the same week and cover lots of different water.

This water is great for floating lines and riffling hitch tubes.	Season on the South Esk is open from mid February until the end of October..
4 rods are allowed to fish the Fort Esk beat at a time..	Fort Esk beat is over a mile long and has 12 private double bank pools and about 4 single bank pools..
We recommend single handed rods, line 9, 9 - 10 feet long, floating line and small flies will be the best method, small 12 foot double handed rod will be of great use as well..	Martin´s home in Scotland Fort Esk Tower..

How to get there, you fly in to Aberdeen Airport and from there it will take you an hour drive on A 90 towards Perth..
