Opening of River Leirvogsa

Little Leirvogsa opened yesterday, June 24th for the season.

And it did open with a bang, the two rods caught 11 salmon for the day and lost plenty as well.  The anglers reported that they had seen plenty of salmon in the lower part of the river.

This is an excellent opening and hopefully and indicator of a good summer to come.

We still have a few rods left in Leirvogsá this summer. The river is only 20 minutes drive from the center of Reykjavik but still one of the best two rod rivers in Iceland.
