Blanda has been so far one of the best rivers in Iceland due to the fact that it never suffers from drought like is the case unfortunately for many other rivers in Iceland.

Blanda has still been low in water but that just means perfect conditions for that river but the drawback if you can call it that is that the fish do not dwell long on the lowest beat and run straight through. We are therefore expecting good catches on the upper beats in the opening.

We have a few rods on all beats left this summer. If you want to go fishing where there is zero chance of drought you should consider river Blanda.
