I personally had the good fortune to fish the East Ranga last weekend. I can surely say with good conciseness that there were powerful runs of salmon.

I fished beat three on Sunday morning and i have hardly ever seen so much action before in one session. The beat was full of fish and there was a nibble or a take in almost every cast.

The takes were quite loose though and in the end we landed 9 salmon in the morning shift but lost about 20 and had countless nibbles and takes on the fly.

Each day in the river now has been 40 plus salmon and rising.

Good time hopefully ahead.
