We have now started booking the West Ranga for 2020. In the past years the West has been continuously on the top of the chart of most salmon caught in a river in Iceland.

The catches this year were disappointing but overall in Iceland this has been a poor year. Even in this lackluster fishing year the West Ranga is still in the second place for most salmon caught.

The river is a medium size/large river best suited for a double hander. There is easy access to the pools and you are assisted by top class guides. On the riverbank overlooking the best pool you will find a newly built excellent lodge with ensuite rooms, a dining hall, bar area and of course a Jacuzzi to unwind in after a successful day.

We firmly believe the West Ranga will gain its strength again in 2020 and reclaim the top spot.
