I am not a prophet but still i can say with a 99% certainty that the West Ranga will be much better in 2020 than it was in 2019.

As you may know this year was one of the worst overall in salmon fishing we have had overall in Iceland with most rivers way below their standards. The West Ranga was no exception to that but still had close to 1700 salmon caught and wound up in third place in Iceland overall. It is just that the river has yielded such exceptional results in the past that the fishing this year is considered poor.

And poor we think it is indeed, but there are good news! Last time we had an awful summer like this one the summer that followed proved to be exceptional. For example in 2014 the West Ranga gave close to 3000 salmon but the year after it tripled the amount and went close to 9000!

Conditions are all looking favorable for next year and therefore i stick to my prediction of a very good catch next year. Come join the action and grab a slot in West Ranga, you will not regret it.
