Fishing in East Rangá river in Iceland usually starts around July 4th or there about. This year salmon already arrived early June and even though the river is not yet officially open. We are having the best start EVER!

25 salmon have been caught on 2 rods in East Rangá for the last few days. But we will open with 18 rods at the end of the month.

West Ranga opens on Sunday and there is plenty of salmon in the river already. The rivers in South Iceland usually starts later in the season or early July so this might be the best opening in both rivers from beguinning.
