The fishing season on our beloved River Dee will start again tomorrow, the 1st of February. Our good friend Chris Tunmore will start fishing on Lower Crathes this year as he has done now for few years.
According to our friend and Head Ghillie for Lower Crathes Mr Robert Harper the river might be tough tomorrow. “It has been low clear water for a few days now, but today (31st of January), we had a lot of rain and snow melt in the mountains, so the river is rising and could be big tonight.”
We will have to see how much the snow melt and rain will affect the river but we hope the first day will be fishable. But however, the conditions in the river will be, it’s confident that anglers will be excited enough to go out and have a cast.
