West Ranga was opened yesterday in terrible weather. The rain poured down and there were strong winds to boot, very difficult to get the fly in the water. Not your typical June day in Iceland, but still the weather can be unpredictable.
The anglers that braved the elements caught 24 salmon on the opening day. According to reports the lower parts of the river keep a good amount of salmon already.
