The Asgard beat in river Sog is a three rod beat with a stunning self-catering lodge. The river Sog is Iceland largest freshwater river, a gin clear large river that runs from lake Þingvallavatn.
The Sog has always been known for its Big Salmon and many of Iceland largest fish have been caught there. The river is best suited for a double handed rod but in some pools closer to shore a single hander is usable. There is arctic char in the river as well which can be up to 10 pounds.
The lodge has four bedrooms, a huge veranda which stretches all the way to the river. There is a Jacuzzi, sauna and a BBQ.
The Asgard beat is perfect for a group of friends or family.
