East Ranga guides now fishing for the hatchery and they have already put over 100 salmon to the box alive , West Ranga have plenty of fish but will not be open until 24th June , I guess that opening will be the biggest ever in Iceland , Arni arnibald@lax-a.is

Still hard work on the Kola river , we have to put a lot of effort in catching one fish a day and with extra efforts and a bit of luck then possible 2 fish pr. rod , getting very warm and mosquito out big time and love the white soft Icelandic skin so much … Arni arnibald@lax-a.is

We had a few good fish from the Kola river , around 100cm , Rafal Kaminskilanded some good fish including 98 and 99 cm , the picture is of mine 107 cm that I landed to day from the lower river , Pasha is proudly posing the fish….. Arni arnibald@lax-a.is

River Thvera and Kjarra are up to 130 salmon after the first 2 days of fishing , best opening ever in the history for Thvera and Kjarra … Arni arnibald@lax-a.is

Kola river to day , some pictures , everyone having a good time , but far less fish than last year , great looking fish .. but I would like to see higher volume of fish … high tides coming soon and it must get better I am sure ….  Arni arnibald@lax-a.is

Very hard work for every fish landed , but we are catching a few , we are kind of a in waiting position for the big run to come , river looks great and all in order to receive a good proper run of fish … Arni arnibald@lax-a.is

Now guides are fishing the East Ranga to take the big early springers for the hatchery …. fish are so early and already in numbers in East Ranga , yesterday there where 18 good salmon landed ! Looks very promising for the summer indeed …  Arni arnibald@lax-a.is

Kola river to day , we are not catching numbers but what we are catching is very big fish , here is my super guide Pasha holding my morning catch , 106 cm long 56 cm over the belly , LOOP Cross 1 15 foot and my strong LOOP Evotec reel did great job on this fish. Arni arnibald@lax-a.is

49 salmon landed in the morning from Thvera and Kjarra river  , and 80 Salmon played  … this is amazing opening , Iceland is cool this spring big fish all over the place …. Arni arnibald@lax-a.is
