West Ranga is the only salmon river in Iceland that is fished so long into the winter. The fishing season ended last saturday, 31st of October. The weather plays a big role in late september and October fishing, mainly local anglers are fishing and they are used to fishing in the cold weather. The final number for West Ranga season 2009 was 10.791, amazing number, fallowed by last year Icelandic record. We thank you all for beeing apart of this beutiful river and look forward to having you again in another successful season in West Ranga.
