With six days left of February we are glad to report that the fishing on the Dee is slightly better overall compared to last year.
Lower Crathes has being doing fine with 18 salmon caught so far compared to 20 for the whole month last year. We should better that we believe and we are glad the beat is turning around in recent years from the awful year of 2014 when only two salmon were caught in February.
The largest salmon in the whole river was caught on the Lower Crathes by Mr. Andy Sutherland, a fine silvery 20lbs fish. On the picture (from Fishpal) you can see the proud angler with his catch.
