End of 2024 season on Stora Laxá … A great season in every way, 821 Salmon landed and lots and lots of very large mws Salmon. Stora had one of the highest average weights this season, if not the highest. Stora Laxá is a 100% catch and release and the management is strongly conservation minded looking after this beautiful river in the best possible way. Now bookings are open for 2025 , beat 1 , 2 and 3 are fishing together with 6 rods rotating. A great full service lodge waits with lots of food for hungry anglers. Every two rods are well looked after by a private experienced guide with a 4WD vehicle. If you want to have things totally private then your choice would be to go up to the beautiful beat number 4 . It has a self catering lodge which has been rebuilt and is now super cozy and comfortable. There are 4 rods on beat 4 and plenty plenty of pools and room to fish. Without a doubt the nature up at beat 4 is among the most beautiful that Iceland can offer you. Unique in every way.
